On 21.06.17, the European Parliament CONT Committee will hold a hearing on “Is EU investment moving research, innovation and business forward? Mid-term (cost-effectiveness) assessment of Horizon 2020“. The objective is to highlight achievements, identify weaknesses and propose improvements with the view to enhancing the cost-effectiveness of EU budget investments. The EuroTech Universities Alliance will be represented by Emily PALMER, the Head of Brussels Office, who will contribute to the session on application, implementation and synergies of the Horizon 2020 funding programme.
The hearing will be moderated by two Members of the European Parliament, Martina DLABAJOVÁ and Andrey NOVAKOV. The Deputy Director of the Directorate-General for
Research and Innovation Patrick CHILD will present the Horizon 2020 take off and the European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation Carlos MOEDAS will conclude the discussions. Representatives of academia, research institutions, business and investors will be present as well.
The hearing will start at 15:00 at Altiero Spinelli, room 3E-2.
