Eurotech Universities scored highly in new Shanghai Ranking

All four EuroTech Universities were ranked top university in their respective countries within engineering in the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2015 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

 

DTU

Technical University of Denmark (DTU) was ranked the best university in the Nordic countries within engineering. DTU came in 6th among the other European universities and obtained a global ranking of 38 on the engineering list.

EPFL

Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) was ranked 14th in the world on the engineering list, coming in second in Europe and first in Switzerland.

TU/e

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) was ranked the best Dutch university for engineering, obtaining a global ranking of 49 in this field.

TUM

Technical University of Munich (TUM) moved up two positions to 51st place in this year’s overall ranking, thereby making it one of the best three German universities. TUM came out top in Germany in both engineering and in life sciences.

 

The Academic Ranking of World Universities is based on an analysis of more than 1,200 universities and publishes data for the 500 best-placed universities. The ranking has been published since 2003 and is regarded as one of the leading ranking lists for universities worldwide
