Teams from the EuroTech Universities Technical University of Munich and Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne achieved fantastic results in the 2019 edition of the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition.
For the fourth time in a row, the Hyperloop team of the Technical University of Munich won the race with their pod reaching 288 miles per hour (463 km/h) – just under the world record of 290 miles per hour (467 km/h) set by the TUM team in last year's competition. The EPFLoop team reached rank 3 with 148 miles per hour (238 km/h).
With Swissloop team ranking second, European student teams filled the top three spots on the podium.
