A Decade of EuroTech

In 2021, EuroTech Universities Alliance celebrated its 10th anniversary. Look back on a decade of EuroTech with our short history of the Alliance.

What started as a bilateral partnership already back in 2006 has grown into a strong alliance of six leading universities of science and technology. In 2011, the EuroTech Universities Alliance was formally established. Since then, we have been developing solutions to the grand challenges of society together and will continue to do so.

Throughout the year, we looked back on the achievements of the past decade. But above and before all, we prepared for the ones to come. Thank you for joining us for the different activities!

From the origins to today

2006

TUM and DTU team up

Technical University of Munich and Technical University of Denmark engage in a strategic collaborative arrangement, which sees the strengthening of bottom-up joint activities between the two universities. The EuroTech “founding fathers” are highly esteemed polytechnic institutions with a world-wide reputation.

The bilateral partnership of DTU and TUM becomes a very successful trilateral “European Alliance”: Eindhoven University of Technology, a young university founded in 1956 by industry, local government and academia, brings a valued additional angle to the cooperation.
