EuroTech Meeting on Open Access

On 16 February 2015 the EuroTech Universities Alliance Brussels Office organizes a first one-day meeting  between participants of all four partners in order to initiate the first discussion between the EuroTech Universities on open access.

The aim of the meeting is that on the one hand the participants exchange on each university's work and priorities in open access and on the other hand that a forum is built to identify potential areas for developing further collaboration between the EuroTech Universities.

Background of the meeting: 

On 17 July 2013, the EuroTech Universities Alliance was one of the five associations of Europeantechnical universities1 received by the former European Commissioner for Research & Innovation,Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, in order to formally endorse its “ERA in Action” statement (see Annex).This statement includes the Alliance’s specific commitments to delivering the European ResearchArea in relation to doctoral education, recruitment, knowledge transfer, gender & diversity, openaccess and communicating science & technology.
