Smart & Urban Mobility

Since their first Brussels workshop in 2013, researchers in the field of Smart & Urban Mobility have become one of the most active working groups of the Alliance. Involved in many different EuroTech activities over the years, the group has submitted different jointly developed proposals for EU funding. This fruitful collaboration has led to a successful proposal for the EIT Urban Mobility.

The group covers multiple research fields, like logistics, transport systems, urban planning and data mining. This interdisciplinary approach makes it possible to target the current mobility challenges in Europe in a holistic way. The members of the working group regularly exchange on their evolving research expertise and explore joint interests for further cooperation; not only in research but also in education. Furthermore, they actively observe the EU policy framework to investigate opportunities for contributing their knowledge.
