Next EuroTech Workshop on ‘Smart & Urban Mobility’, Brussels

The next EuroTech Universities Alliance Workshop in the field of ‘Smart & Urban Mobility‘ will take place in Brussels on 1 and 2 April.

The workshop is part of a series of annual workshops in the Alliance Focus Area “Smart & Urban Mobility”. Facilitated by the Brussels Office. the workshop will give participating researchers the opportunity to jointly explore external funding opportunities, such as the final Horizon 2020 calls, with a view to developing joint proposals. Key topics that might be addressed are electromobility, autonomous driving, intelligence transport systems and logistics, amongst others.

The agenda will foresee substantial time for exchange on on-going activities in the area of mobility technologies at the partner universities, especially at L’X and Technion, to integrate the complementary strengths of the new Alliance members. The workshop will also touch on the orientations for future EU funding in the area, e.g. under Horizon Europe.

Background:
In 2015, the Alliance defined five fast-developing Focus Areas in fields where the EuroTech Universities bring complementary strengths and which are of high relevance to Europe’s industrial leadership: Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Health & Bioengineering, Smart & Urban Mobility, Data Science & Engineering and High Performance Computing. Established in 2012, the joint Brussels office facilitates the establishment of competitive consortia and positioning of the EuroTech Universities’ expertise towards EU stakeholders.
