First EuroTech Universities Postdoc Workshop on EU research policy & funding

Building on its experience in organising Horizon 2020 preparatory workshops and EU Master Classes, the EuroTech Universities Alliance Brussels Office will host a highly interactive Workshop for EuroTech Universities postdocs on the EU research policy and funding landscape on 29 and 30 September. In a first instance, the workshop is open to Postdocs from the EuroTech Universities who work in the EuroTech Focus Areas Health & Bio Engineering and Data Science & Engineering.

Key Building Blocks of the Workshop
  • EU policy landscape in relation to funding for research and innovation and opportunities for collaboration offered through the EuroTech Universities Alliance
  • EU Funding for Excellent Science – European Research Council; Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions; Future and Emerging Technologies
  • The ‘mechanics’ of EU collaborative research – Industrial Leadership and Societal Challenges
Aims of the Workshop

The Workshop aims to increase awareness of EU instruments for postdoctoral career development while at the same time providing an interactive forum to enhance closer cooperation between the Eurotech Universities in the Alliance’s Focus Areas on the basis of EU funding opportunities.

Why is this workshop different?

Participants will be limited in number and come from all EuroTech Universities – interactive discussion and networking will be a central element of the workshop. Speakers reflect the combined expertise of the EuroTech Universities, its Brussels Office and their respective networks. The workshop is co-organised by the EuroTech Universities Alliance Brussels Office and EPFL SV Postdoc Association.

Browse the Draft Agenda or Workshop Flyer and register online by 10 July. Selected participants will be eligible for reimbursement of travel costs. For more information, please contact Inga Odenthal.
