EuroTech speaker at EIF dinner debate

The EuroTech Universities will advise MEPs on the implications of the digital transformation of education for Europe’s Higher Education sector. On 17 November, the European Internet Forum (EIF) will organize a dinner debate in the European Parliament on ‘The digital transformation of education and the massive open online courses (MOOCs)’. Hans Pongratz, Vice-President and CIO of Technical University of Munich will open the evening with his contribution about the digital transformation of education. Issues raised will cover MOOCs and the opportunities they offer in response to the European skills gap challenge, as well as the need for uniform data protection rules and competitive ICT infrastructures. Further speakers will be:

  • Carolina Jeux, CEO at Telefónica Educación Digital
  • Patricia Reilly, Cabinet Expert, Cabinet of Commissioner Tibor Navracsics, EU Commissioner with responsibility for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport
  • Stephan de Valk, Director Strategy & Innovation, Noordhoff Uitgevers BV (Netherlands)
