Sustainable Energy Week: From Tech to Net Zero

Join our inspirational session during European Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels.

On 11 June 2025 from 11:30–13:00, our expert round-table will discuss a key issue:

  • How to use regional innovation ecosystems to bridge the gap between research in transformative technologies and market applications.

Under the session title, ‘From Tech to Net Zero: Connecting Ecosystems for the Clean Transition’, representatives from academia, industry and public administrations will debate how universities and regional institutional partners can collaborate to boost decarbonisation, innovation and European industry.

Registration is now open.

The round-table discussion is hosted by EuroTech Universities Alliance and Île-de-France Region. The panellists include high-profile experts from some of our member universities, representatives from the European Commission, regional authorities and industry frontrunners.

Interdisciplinary centres like Energy4Climate (E4C) at Institut Polytechnique de Paris and the Eindhoven Institute for Renewable Energy Systems (EIRES) are pivotal in connecting ecosystems, offering researchers opportunities to scale up innovations.

The session will also include a presentation of two successful, innovative projects supporting the path towards net zero:

The start-up RIFT is a groundbreaking pioneer within clean fuel to decarbonise industrial heat, and the DTU Amon project demonstrates a novel system to utilise and convert ammonia into electric power.
