19 June 2026 | Three EuroTech member universities,  École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Technical University of Munich (TUM), and Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), have been placed among the world’s top 50 institutions in the QS World University Rankings 2027.

Across the Alliance, all EuroTech partners demonstrate excellent performance, with most ranked among the world’s top 150 institutions.

How the ranking is assessed

The QS World University Rankings evaluate institutions using indicators including academic and employer reputation, research citations, graduate outcomes, faculty-student ratios, international engagement, research collaboration and sustainability.

While no ranking captures the full picture of a university’s performance, the 2027 results reflect the research strength, international reach and reputation of EuroTech members.

Combining strengths across the Alliance

EuroTech brings together complementary expertise in research, education, innovation, entrepreneurship and advanced infrastructure.

This collaborative model is central to the EuroTech Strategy 2030, which aims to strengthen the contribution of science and technology universities to Europe’s competitiveness, resilience and sustainability.

By working across institutions, disciplines and borders, members connect specialist knowledge with industry, policymakers and society to address major challenges.
