Just a few days ago, the EU reached a provisional agreement on the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. This key milestone makes the EU a pioneer in regulating the use of AI. In May 2023, we shed a light on this important piece of legislation in our EuroTech Policy Deep Dive “The EU AI Act: Landmark or stumbling block for researchers and innovators”. A further highlight of the year was the symposium “EuroTech Universities – an alliance working for global sustainability” organised by École Polytechnique, bringing together researchers from all EuroTech Universities, which led to a joint declaration on sustainability. In 2024, it will be all about innovation. We look forward to a gathering of our communities on 11 April 2024 at Technical University of Denmark. Stay tuned!
