Lena Kitzing, DTU, selected as member of the EU Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change

24 March 2022 | Lena Kitzing, Head of Section for Society, Markets & Policy in the DTU Wind Energy Systems Division, has been selected as a member of the new European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change. The 15 members of the Advisory Board will provide independent scientific advice on EU measures and climate targets and their coherence with the European Climate Law and the EU’s international commitments under the Paris Agreement. 

Lena Kitzing’s application has been supported by the Presidents of the six EuroTech Universities. Her research spans across the energy-economy-society nexus and especially concerns the effective governance of energy systems through policy instruments, with particular focus on deployment of renewables and their integration into energy system. She is a Board Member of the Joint Programme for Wind Energy of the European Energy Research Alliance.
