Robothon® 2023 challenge for autonomously handling electronic waste

1 February 2023 | Robothon® is an international competition and benchmarking event for measuring state-of-the-art performance in robot manipulation. Teams develop hardware and software for autonomously handling electronic waste over a four-week period. The challenge will be held digitally with selected teams receiving a competition task board to compete with their own robot platforms from their own labs in the run-up to automatica 2023. Up to 20 teams will have four weeks to develop an autonomous solution to the task board to be presented live to the Grand Challenge Jury over video conference. Winners will be crowned on stage at the automatica trade fair in Munich in June 2023.

The Call for Teams is open until 28 February 2023, 11:59 p.m. CET. The finalists await more than €10,000 in prize money.

Robothon® is an international competition to develop skills in robot manipulation as part of the high-tech platform #munich_i from the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) at the Technical University of Munich, in collaboration with Messe Muenchen and automatica.
