23 March 2026 | We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic EU project officer on Research & Innovation (R&I) policy to join our Brussels’ team. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of EuroTech’s EU-funded projects and contribute to the implementation of the Alliance’s Strategy 2030. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong policy research experience and a passion for research and innovation to make a real impact across Europe.

About the EU Project Officer – R&I policy role
- Lead and deliver EU-funded R&I projects end-to-end, ensuring high-quality implementation, timely delivery of milestones, and full compliance with European Commission requirements
- Drive analytical and research workstreams, including the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative analyses, translating findings into actionable insights and high-impact deliverables
- Shape strategic insights on European R&I ecosystems, with a particular focus on funding mechanisms, business models, and the development of research and technology infrastructures, and coordinate competence building and knowledge-sharing at EuroTech level
- Maintain effective communication within project consortia and with external stakeholders, including the European Commission
- Identify funding opportunities that support the implementation of EuroTech’s Strategy 2030 and contribute to the preparation of new project proposals to that effect
- Ensure synergies between EU-funded projects and broader EuroTech initiatives and contribute actively to the implementation of the EuroTech Strategy 2030 and to the overall teamwork of the Brussels Office
- 3 to 6 years of work experience in R&I policy project delivery, and a master’s degree in a relevant field
- At least 2 years of experience working on EU-funded projects
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to conduct rigorous analysis and draw sound conclusions from evidence
- Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to write clear, concise and well-structured reports and papers
- Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to build consensus and promote trust both externally and internally
- Strong interest in research, innovation, and education policy and in science and technology fields such as AI, robotics, semiconductors, photonics, quantum, energy systems, biotechnologies, advanced materials, etc.
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Knowledge of, and interest in, research and technology infrastructures and related policy
- Experience applying both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (data science skills is a strong asset)
- Experience with Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and/or Digital Europe projects
- Experience facilitating workshops or other collaborative formats and with network- or community-building
- Knowledge of additional European languages
