The EU Grants Working Group serves as a high-level engine for knowledge exchange and strategic cooperation across EuroTech. Its mission is to facilitate consortium building and matchmaking, helping researchers form high-performing internal consortia by identifying complementary expertise across the six partner universities for specific Horizon Europe calls. This group also promotes grant writing excellence by sharing best practices and providing direct proposal development support, including financial incentives for collaborative bids involving at least three member institutions.

Members jointly analyse complex shifts in the EU research landscape, such as the transition to FP10, new simplification measures, and the integration of knowledge security and competitiveness standards. The group further optimises operations by exchanging proven management models for lump-sum funding, IP management, and data protection to ensure a seamless administrative experience for researchers. Finally, the WG translates “on-the-ground” experience from managing EU grants into actionable feedback for the European Commission, helping to shape future framework conditions.
