18 June 2026 | Applications are open for the EuroTech Summer School 2026: Energy Storage & Demand, taking place from 31 August to 4 September 2026 at EPFL Valais · Wallis in Sion and EPFL Lausanne.

Hosted by the Group of Energy Materials at EPFL under the auspices of the EuroTech Universities Alliance, the one-week intensive programme will bring together students, researchers and professionals to explore the role of energy storage and demand management in Europe’s clean energy transition.

As energy systems become more renewable, interconnected and flexible, storage technologies are increasingly important for balancing supply and demand, supporting grid stability and enabling industrial decarbonisation.

What to expect: 
  • 11 expert lectures
  • 5 laboratory visits
  • A guided excursion to the Grande Dixence Dam
  • A participant poster session

The programme also offers opportunities to exchange ideas with academics, industry experts, and peers from across the energy research community.
