We fund selected summer/winter schools organised by doctoral candidates from at least three of the EuroTech Universities for their peers – Master students in their final phase, PhD students and postdocs. The topic of the 2-to-7-day schools should be interdisciplinary at the cutting edge of science and technology and be of high relevance for science and society.
Prerequisites
If you have a specific interdisciplinary topic in mind that could be developed into a 2-to-7-day programme for at least 15 participants, please discuss the idea of organising a joint EuroTech winter/summer school with your supervisor. If your supervisor agrees, you need to find 1-2 doctoral candidates from each of the participating EuroTech Universities. At least three of the EuroTech Universities shall be involved in the organisation of the respective joint winter/summer school.
General funding
Successful proposals will receive financial support from the participating universities to cover all costs on-site, amongst others catering, local transport and marketing/course materials. Travel and accommodation expenses of non-EuroTech speakers might also be covered.
Each EuroTech University covers accommodation and travel expenses of its participants, including the organising committee members. Further, each EuroTech University will also cover the accommodation and travel expenses of its own speakers.
A (preliminary) budget overview, including the estimated amount of registration fees, shall be submitted with the application.
